About NAFS
Families deserve a real plan, at a price they can see
The National Association of Family Services exists so that a properly prepared estate plan — and the professionals behind it — are within reach of ordinary families.
Who we are
A membership association, by design
NAFS is not a law firm and not a financial company. We are an association that negotiates plan pricing, vets the professionals who serve our members, and stays with families after the documents are signed.
That structure is what makes the pricing work. Members share the cost of access, so attorney-led planning costs a fraction of what it would à la carte — and the attorney still answers to you.

What we stand on
Four commitments we don't bend
- An authorized, licensed attorney is involved in every enrollment — never a form kit
- Pricing is stated in full before you enroll, including who receives each dollar
- Every attorney and financial provider in the plan is independent and vetted
- Membership means ongoing support: annual reviews, document storage, and someone to call
How we work with attorneys
When you enroll, you are matched with an authorized law firm licensed in your state. That firm is paid its fee directly by you at enrollment — the association does not receive or hold the attorney's fee. Your attorney's professional obligation is to you and your family, and their advice is their own.
